Hi all,

I have 3 acres of pasture that will be ready for cutting shortly, but the chap who used to do it has sold his small baler. Can anyone suggest someone local to me? I'm in Saron in North Carmarthenshire near Newcastle Emlyn and Llandysul.

Found someone! Stopped a random tractor passing my house and asked! If you don't ask, you don't get!

I'll ask but I'm not hopeful, it took a lot of arm twisting, seems like they are going to squeeze it in around their own farm activities which surrounds our land.
I have heard that finding a contractor with a small baler is like hens teeth, it's more likely you'll find an 'old' farmer who still bales his own and a bit of sweet talking would do yours.
Sorry I can't be more positive. Unless I can get my new 'friend' to commit to the future this will be my last year of hay making. I have a forage dealer in my village so might buy it in and increase my stock instead

  3 acres of hay = tractor & bailer 

3 acres  = sythe  +  + hand box bailer =
