gypsy's and palm reader types!
« on: October 18, 2009, 05:09:19 pm »
So, the future mrs SB went to a palm reader this morning - in the glasgow forge market of all places. But anyway, we thought it would be a lark while i had a few errands to run

I am quite shocked

the gypsy (descended from the queen of the gypsies apparently) told the future Mrs SB that the enxt wedding she would be at would be her own (and given we were at a friends wedding teh night before - the next one on the horizon is indeed our own)

we are having 2 kids - one of each

she then told her that her partner (me) would be starting a business and it would go very well - that was a bit of a random one

then she struggled to put her finger on it, but she predicted a change in our living situation, she thought we might move and it would be into a bigger house, then she changed her mind and sais we aren't moving, we must be extending the house, then she changed her mind again and said we are buying the neighbours house and that will all go ahead and we'll be building one big house

now i have to admit, that's pretty good going

i tend to be a biy of a cynic on these things - but the whole thing with the house and the business just seemed to be too on the money to be a lucky and hopeful guess/stab in the dark

whats you thoughts/experiences on these things

I blow hot and cold on this stuff, but my one experience of a fortune teller was about 48 years ago when I had been going out with the man who would eventually be my future husband for only about two weeks.  I had no idea what he worked as at that point.
The woman my pals and I went to see said I would marry a man in a white coat, he would have a fungus on his face and we would have two kids, possibly more but she couldn't figure out what they were because they seemed strange little people.  I thought - 'good god I'm having nothing to do with anyone wearing a white coat from now on!'

I told Sandy when I saw him a few days later and he looked me straight in the eye and said 'do you know what I do for a living?'  Nope!  He was a hospital Laboratory chief technician and wore a white coat at work. ::)  So, yes, I married him a couple of years later.  We had two kids - Sarah and Donald, plus over the years a large number of dogs as we began showing our first one and it grew from there - guess they were the strange little people? So far so good!  What about the fungus??  That day I told Sandy about the reading he had just started growing a beard!
Spooky huh?

When I was visiting my friend in Wales last week she took me to meet a friend of hers in a spiritualist meeting.  She suddenly looked at me and said 'you know someone who died of severe head injuries in a car crash'  The man in spirit is reminding you of an anniversary or birthday this month.  I couldn't think of any birthdays till we were on the way home - our wedding anniversary would have been 19th October - tomorrow!  Sandy was killed by a large vehicle crashing into us and pulling him out of our car and banging his head against a fence post, and dying instantly! I know 100% that Margaret didn't tell her any of that.  So where did she get it?

Spooky again!

I've always been a wee bit psycic (or it is psycotic ?  ;D) and have done tarot cards and rune stone readings. But I had to work at it and spend lots of time learning. People who have a natural talent are quite rare to find - but if you do, they're sooooo great to see. I've met some really bad readers - they claim to be great but are so general that the reading could apply to just about anyone. But when you meet someone and they hit the nail square on the head like that it IS spooky - but I find it quite reassuring at the same time.
It's easy to be cynical about it because of all the 'pretend' palm readers who just make it up.

There is definitely something in it although for every good one there are probably hundreds of fakes. This lady certainly seemed to know her stuff, creepy. We organised a Psychic night last year and it was mobbed - have to say though I didn't think she was the best. I do find it interesting.

If anyone has SKY look at channel 146 - Zone reality - John Edward.  I watched it when i was visiting Margaret - couldn't take my eyes off the telly whne he was on.  Mind you he is drop dead gorgeous (pun intended) so he could have told me anything and I'd have believed him ;D ;D ;D

He he - just found this - very interesting !!

defo something in good reader but some people have learnt to read people, it's very easy to do if you stop and watch people.

I have a habit of knowing where lost things are (but not my own stuff, i think spirits move the stuff, lol)
