american dream?

What happened to the American Dream? The rich and the politicians have tricked the typical American family and the American family have, and are still falling for their BS. Think about these facts.

In the 50's and 60's, the Dad went out to work, Mum stayed at home and that was enough for a house, car, college, etc.

In the 70's when Reagan started his trickle down economics (the biggest fraud in American politics ever), is when the Mum's started going to work to maintain the same standard of living.

In the 80's and 90's, some people took two jobs, others refinanced their homes to maintain their standard of living.

In the 90's and 2000's, families took on lots of credit card debt to maintain the same standard of living.

So during this time, to maintain the typical standard of living, we have gone from one parent working, to both working, refinanced homes and credit card debt.

How have the rich been doing during this time?

Well, in 1970, the richest 1% of Americans owned 8% of the nation's wealth. Now they own 23%. So while they have gotten three times as wealthy, the typical American has gotten worse off and in massive debt.

In 1970, the typical CEO earned 30 times the salary of the average employee. Now a CEO earns on average 360 times the average employee.

By the way, unemployment in Detroit is 29% and the last three months were the WORST ever for home foreclosures.

So let's take a look at Trickle Down Economics. This has been pushed on us by the rich. In theory, they say, don't tax us too much and with the extra money, we will spend it and by spending it, it will naturally create jobs and demands for goods, etc., which in turn will benefit the typical American worker.

Nice theory, but I guess the question is, "how is that working out for you?"

However, American's like all people get what they deserve. They fall for this and continue to vote in the crooked and rich politicians who pander to billionaire individuals and companies who fund their election campaigns.

There are literally millions without jobs, healthcare, losing homes, in debt and struggling to survive. Practically all are complaining. Yet they vote for the crooks that enact the policies that fleece them of their American dream. And they continue to believe them at every election and vote for them again. Fool me once....how does that go?

I really hope your not implying that factory farming (e.g Smithfield), Genetically Modified 'terminal' seeds, roundup resistant GM seeds (Monasanto) etc. are not community oriented. These companies are owned and run by humble, honourable, decent, honest, trustworthy people, who have the greater good of mankind at heart!
