Ooh Karen, you have me in tears now Mrs.
It is awful just not knowing, and worrying about the future is not an option now.
You will drive yourself daft, you know, and I know, that you are already doing what you can, you are a wonderful mother and it will be no fault of yours whatever happens in the future, but believe me, that little girl loves you and she will always be your friend.
I think Joe may have had adhd, but it didn't have a name when he went to school, he also has red hair and a fairly wicked temper - but hey, none of us are perfect, he is very intelligent and can make anything with his hands. Tara is very similar to Joe, she is highly intelligent and although she mixes and gets on with people on the farm and at the zoo, she has no friends at school.
The problem with schools is they want the easy option, if theres any problems they want to label it or have it taken away for someone else to deal with - Tara has had problems at school for five years, the teacher always said it was Tara that was oversensitive or imagining things - the "problem" left the school in September and - guess what, Tara is doing great and the teachers have suddelny realised they were wrong in their judgements of Tara - a bit late for Tara now, but she will be leaving in June for a new school.
The other problem is ending up giving your child sedatives every day, which is what happened to a friend of mines son, you are right to look at head massage and reiki, keep away from chemical fixes as I am sure its more behaviour therapy and deep understanding and talking that helps the most.
Now, I will go away and shut up - but send my love to you and mirimaran and the lovely children you have
You and Mirimaran have a lot in common, your both great mothers, your both into animals, you both keep yourselves very very busy, and you both are wanting the best for your children. Theres two incredibly strong and loving mothers doing more than their best xxx
