From our nine Welshy ewes, we've had 8 ram lambs and 7 ewe lambs. Would have had another ewe lamb but it died. So it was pretty even for us!

I have 26 lambs out of my ewes now, (finished finally) but 32 overall after taking on some orphans

Out of my 26 lambs, 5 yes FIVE!!!!!! are ewe lambs and only 4 are keepers

Serious words with my ram this year

Out of 8 lambs last year 2 were ewes

I love the size and shape of my shetland ram but will be selling him this year due to his daughters in the flock, hopefully the next ram I get will throw daughters!

gosh I'm feeling very lucky after reading this thread - I'm still waiting for one ewe to give birth but the other three gave me seven healthy lambs - 6 ewes and 1 ram - Ideal as i'm looking to build up the flock.

beginners luck?

Pleased for you mab! I seem to have come off fairly lucky in the fact that they are still here and seem healthy but with sheep you never know so I will keeps fingers crossed and count my blessings!!!
