I'd give her the benefit all the same, it's likely she just doesn't know.  Lots of people are brought up with animals and have had them all their lives, esp horses, and they don't even think of looking at a leaflet on pasture management, let alone googling it.
registered soay, castlemilk moorit  and north ronaldsay sheep, pygmy goats, steinbacher geese, muscovy ducks, various hens, lots of visiting mallards, a naughty border collie, a puss and a couple of guinea pigs
