coughing wether goat

i recently got a wether goat who was bottle fed.
hes approx. 9 months old.iv noticed he coughs occasionally, like hes got something stuck in his throat type cough...I wormed him with albencil wormer when he came after I noticed the coughing...
any ideas if its something to worry about?

An occasional cough is absolutely normal, they'll get hay or other stuff suck in their haste of getting the feed down. I don't know why you wormed him - did he show other signs of worm infestation?

However if you are concerned about the possibility of pasteurella/pneumonia you can reduce the chances of him getting it by vaccinating with Ovipast.

he hadn't been wormed at all so wanted to worm him before he goes in with my others...he may be coughing up cud I guess..iv never heard any of my pygmies do this so not sure what it sounds like.

Next time you hear him coughing see if he starts chewing , if so it's cud
