We have a lonely gander Nd would like to find him a mate. Having trouble locating a female in Wiltshire or close by. Anyone know of a breeder around this area.

My West of England geese came from breeders on the Hampshire/Wiltshire border. They're not huge though and I would guess they have already sorted their set up for this year (I.e. unlikely to have a spare female hanging around - especially if you're not going to breeding from her) but I can send you the details if you want. More usefully, they're heavily involved in the British Waterfowl Association (he's the current president) so they might know other sources of geese nearby.

What breed are you wanting?

Ok thanks. I think I have some Embden geese. We acquired them and have 4 ganders to dispose of but we brought 3 back to the house paddock due to bullying and one goose and gander have paired up and I have another gander being pushed out now who needs a mate. It might not work but I don't want to kill him.

We use the eggs and sell surplus, not sure whether I would try and hatch any.
