Could you do with a spare pair of hands?
« on: February 07, 2014, 03:28:38 pm »
Hi,

Could you do with a extra pair of hands about the place? I would love to have my own smallholding one day but it's not now!

If you need a hand with anything I'm willing to help out, I work full time but could help at weekends. Have had horses in the past so know all about mucking out, grooming and poo picking!

Do you show your animals, could you do with extra help there?

Can be as and when, and could be a great help to both of us! Am a happy and cheery person with a gsoh (good sense of humour, sounds like a line from a dating website!!)

I will be attending a lambing course in March so that will give me more experience.

I live just outside of Worcester.

Anything considered, feel free to contact me!

Thanks for reading.

Maybe try a farm park or city farm near yourself, sure they would welcome help and you are more likely to get hands on animal experience rather than clearing out someone's goat shed  ;)

Hi Jennie

try the Farm animal sanctuary in Middle Littleton (nr Evesham)  Janet who runs it is always looking for help and they have a huge variety of animals which would give you the variety and in turn help you also. She has sheep, goats, cows, chickens, ducks, geese, dogs and ferel cats.  At the moment they are risking being closed down, its all quite sad as they do a great job. PM me if you can't find contact details for them but they are quite easy to find on google.

Failing that, you are welcome to come clean out my goat shed  :-J  I'm in Offenham, Worcs

Have a look on the Helpx site, we used it several times to gain experience, might be something local for you or you could travel round the world doing it.

Weekend trip to Fife if you want to venture further afield but a local farm park is probably better all round experience ;)
