Ewes scanned yesterday
« on: February 06, 2014, 04:12:54 pm »
Hi all,

We had our Jacob ewes scanned yesterday. First time we have had it done as we were breeding  from our home bred shearlings and old ewes this time round.
Results were out of 7 ewes

5 x twins 1x triplet and a single. 200% we are delighted and  to top it all our GOS gilt gave birth to 10 health piglets so all in all a good day.

Now just waiting to finish off the lambing  shed and for the mud to dry up!

Us too, we have concrete founds in and metal bits lying everywhere, but no sign of an actual structure, just the mud!

Well done on your scan.  We are scanning tomorrow morning, but we will NOT be hoping for 200%, 150% average will be more than enough for us if we achieve it.
