Rosemary, I certainly wasn't offended by anything you said. As far as I'm concerned, we were all having a healthy debate. Shame is started to go the wrong way.

I enjoy debating issues on here. In real life, I tend to get shouted down. Here I can have my say uninterrupted.

Is this another domestic?  :innocent: :roflanim:  Don't let Dan bully you  - we love you and if HE doesn't I'll take him off your hands and MAKE him vote YES  - That'll teach him  :roflanim: :roflanim: :roflanim:

Oh no, this wasn't a "domestic" - not really something we indulge in  :) And he's as committed to Scottish independence as I am. No fears of a "No" vote there

As others have said you are the tas and it would not be anything like the same without you.  I personally felt that the supposed offending remark was clearly tongue in cheek.  The way it ws phrased made this obvious.  Though as others have also said the Internet is not always the best place to indulge in such banter as it can be difficult to pick up some of the more subtle nuances of communication.  My own problem with that thread was not your remark at all but the way that it became increasingly testy.  Like others have said I prefer my tas when its about animals and smallholding issues.  Tho I guess I just need to stay out the coffee lounge in future. . You have created my most valuable resource in looking after my livestock for which I thank you.  I sincerely hope you don't go anywhere

Can we just clarify that this isn't Goodbye now?  It's quite a long death speech so far  ;)

So as it just seems to be "Sorry" that's all well and good.

Just realised that by saying " you are the tas" what I in fact said was " you are the the accidental smallholder" I believe thats known as a tautology. Just sayin'......

The good old art of conversation, if people don't agree with what someone says and they know each other, why not speak to each other rather than put it on a forum. See it all the time on Facebook. A simple misunderstanding blown out of all proportion from what I can see, just my opinion.
As it is miserable weather outside  :gloomy: I realised there is a more important topic in here, how about letting England vote on whether Scotland gets Independence, think I know the answer to that one.  :innocent: :innocent:
Sorry just bored and mischief making.  ;)

Hazel, of coarse we would let them have their independance, on condition they keep their hands out of of our pockets and take back all the Scottish Mp's from the Commons, and all the scroungers from the Lords. I wonder if there will be any English MPs in the Scottish parliament  :innocent: Daft thought wasn't it...

Doug, you know they will only cherry pick the things they want to have control over. We will still have to finance their schools, hospitals, emergency services and they will want to stick their noses into the running of our government. Very like in Wales.

Guys, have a little sensitivity, can't you.

This thread got started because Rosemary found herself in hot water partly because of her passion for an independent Scotland.

You've used the 'stirring' icon, BB, and that's exactly what you are doing.  Do it if you must, but do it somewhere else on your own thread, don't create unpleasantness in Rosemary's apology thread.

Wow, how sad, some people have real difficulty with showing a little *personal* respect and humility.

Even if you disagree with someone's opinions  can't you at least drag yourselves up to the pavement and act with a little decency and sensitivity?

Nice to see some people took my comment with the sense of humour it was intended with on this wet day.
