OH's broken head is mending.
« on: September 08, 2009, 10:38:53 pm »
Well he is doing really well. He came home over night last Sat/Sun and this weekend due home Fri through to Sun night.

The talk is that he will now be better at home and should be discharged really soon, just seems to need stair rails etc. when OT visits to get him home.

So far it was 6 months ago that he had the accident, but the light seems to be at the end of the tunnel at last.

Thanks for all your support here, you're a great bunch even though some are very far away.

Great news, Kaz.  Delighted fro both of you.  It will still be hard for you when he gets home permanently but you'll cope, and we will still be here for you to let off steam, and to listen to the good times you will have..

Wounderful news, at least you still have each other, a few weeks ago a fellow youth worker fell down the stairs and died!!! I am so careful on stairs and I even change into my too short trousers when I go to clean the bedrooms, you can never be too careful and your post helped me to be more aware of how life can change in an instant so appreciate what you have......big hug, your doing fine ;)

Brilliant! So glad to hear OH is on the mend. I'm sure his recovery will speed up when he gets home to you and the family. Best wishes to you both.

Illness changes life - mostly for the better - it makes you realise the
true worth of things - and what is important and dear to you.

I wish you both lots of love, happiness and healing for the future, time heals and its much nicer to be home
with your family - well done Karen - stay strong and positive girl.
