I have a slow cooker which i use a lot - just made a scrumptious fruit cake in mine.

Just wondered if anyone had one and can comment?

I've not heard of these before. It isn't too expensive either. I have just bought an actifryer which is good because it uses virtually no fat whereas I see this one has a frying basket. So presumably you can use it as a deep fryer as well.

My pal says she uses it as a fryer, roaster slow cooker, even made bread in it? - and as you say they're not expensive. Could be my Christmas present to myself.

iv just smashed the glass lid of our slowcooker - had it years too.

I think they only make cookware with glass lids so you have to replace it. They pretend its so you can look at whats happening without lifting the lid, but I like to give stir and taste to see whats going on. The firs thing I bought with a glass lid was broken in a very short while. I swore ... never again... and I swore as well of course

My neighbour bought one while her kitchen was being gutted, extended and modernised. She said it was very useful while she had no cooker but offered it on Freecycle when the work was done. I had it for a few months and didn't use so passed it on to someone who wanted one to take caravanning so she could cook in the awning.
