New girls

If anyone's interested... here are the ex-battery girls, after a week with us.
They've settled really well, lots of eggs and even go in at night (even though one insists on sticking her head out just as we're trying to shut the door down!!)

No they have 'L' Plates!!
Our other hens have a blue one...

I like it when I get updates on where the battery hens have ended up, and they have a lovely home with you ....even a tractor to ride on!!  In a few weeks, they will look completely different.  A little cider vinegar in their water once a week works wonders on battery hens.

I love the Ex Batts, they all have very different charactors and all can be easily picked up, 2 of mine still have bold bits but are doing very very well, one seems to like the Ducks and follows them everywhere...IF it's nice tomorrow I will take some more photos[/img]
