I had seen pigs a while back and was going to buy a few and sell them into the factory but seen micro pigs today if I bought a female and sold piglets would I make any money on then and is there legal requirements with them also what do they eat

this is not open for discussion on TAS whatever you were offered be sure to find out the actual breeding behind the pig and base decisions on that!!!

Sorry to be blunt, but if you're looking for a way to make money - forget livestock.
The 'micro' debate is another issue altogether, but I'm not even touching it  look back through the forum for micro threads.

Conner you will not make money from pigs of any sort unless you have access to free food, I buy weaners at £50 each and sell the finished butchered product at £380 a pig and I still make no money out of them . Feed costs are high, transport, killing and butchering are also high. As for micro pigs well as you will already have heard there is no such thing. If you look on sites like preloved you will see dozens of so called micro pigs which unsuspecting people have bought only to find they have big pigs on their hands and are no longer able to keep.
If you are serious about smallholding stay away from the gimmicks and resign yourself to working hard for the pleasure that your animals give you, the satisfaction of eating your own pork, lamb chicken and eggs etc.
I find that my hens pay for themselves through egg sales and I am hoping that my sheep will do the same through lamb sales.
I suggest you have a good read through the pig topic and if you find anyone on there making money please let me know!

I suppose if you can buy enough of these ex-pet pigs cheap and slaughter them right away, ie avoiding any feed costs, you might make a few bob.

I have to say when I saw the topic, my heart sank.

I'm not sure about even that, Rosemary, unless you are prepared to do a lot of meat prep yourself and not want to be paid a sensible hourly rate for it.  Pet pigs are mostly going to be little meat and inches upon inches of lard, aren't they?

Any pig whatever its size regardless of it being a pet or otherwise is subject to the rules & regs laid out for livestock keeping of the northern Ireland equivalent of DEFRA.
There is NO SUCH CREATURE AS A MICRO PIG. period, fullstop etc etc.
