Could anyone tell me would it be ok to give my piggies  warm  porridge for brekky ?
Just as a treat, lve read they like sloppy feed ? We have it every morning so could make extra no probs.
The chuckies get it on really cold days to warm them up  :yum: Just a thought

theres nothing wrong with milk or oats but being strictly legal - you have to source the ingredients from shops that dont stock meat products, ie a greengrocers rather than a supermarket.  :innocent:

of course pigs must be served the english way - with a blob of strawberry jam - not the scottish way with salt as too much salts bad for pigs   :roflanim: :roflanim: :roflanim:

I would use my goats milk, and source my oats as you say from greengrocers. Thank you Shygirl.
I think they are worth it    We dont have salt in ours we have teaspoon of honey, neither for piggies !  :pig:

In the winter my pigs get warm speedy beet with their breakfast which goes down a treat, never thought of doing porridge but I am sure they would be quite happy with that.

Porridge cooled down with a litre of apple juice sent mine crazy and lifting their trough searching for more - bless them as all 3 left us just before xmas.
Outdoor kitchens and a cheap fuel source mean that you can rustle all sorts for the pigs - cooked spuds with crunchy apples was another regular I served up on a cold morning. Spoilt them rotten.

Yep   in very cold weather ours have been known to have warm pig nut porridge and they love it. We too have a separate piggy kitchen c/w kettle, fridge, microwave, sink etc (OH is a builder so I get loads of wrecked house cast offs when he does refurbs ;D) it is very useful for both pigs & keeper when the weather is at its foulest and has saved many a wee pigs life when we've needed to make bottles of milk or hot water bottles for reviving!
