Hi All
Not been on here for ages. As had to get shut of our chucks (long story) dont worry they went to a good home and the people who took them give us a trailer full of logs in exchange. Any way to the point. One of the local crofters has put 15 sheep on a bit of our land for the winter no problem with that. I was talking to him and another crofter and they said I should get some (think they want me to buy some of theirs ) If I did they would need fencing in> So here's the question, how much is sheep fencing
to keep it simple say 100mtr run strainers, post,s and fencing would be roughly how many ££££
Dont want to ask them and seem to eager.

If your paying someone to do the fencing around £450 - £550 including materials

or doing it yourself

perhaps around £200 - £220 for materials

Plus VAT on both

We've got tack sheep from a local farmer at the mo on fields with no real fencing and they have brought their own electric fencing with them. NB we aren't on any roads so that might make a difference.

I would only think the cost would stack up for permanent fencing if you were going to get sheep of your own so wanted it anyway, otherwise maybe they could do the same as my chap.

Pub went ok in the summer in dead now no tourists never got round to the blog. The Land where he has put his sheep yep we could put them there. His sheep will be going to market In the new year. just thought it would give that bit of land a rest. So then I Could use it next winter. Just move them round a bit. I know we will prob make no money out of them. The cofters them selves have said there cheaper in the long run from the abattoir
