Our winter has started , -3 deg C this morning but bright enough . Took my old ex Ricebox trailer to fetch 2 hestons of hay and 1 of straw, got it home and had the choice of leaving it on the trailer and covering it up or stacking it above the stables, we chose the latter, so cut the strings and I passed it slice by slice up to Gabi, By the time we had finished it was lashing down with rain so we both got soaked through , got indoors to find the woodburner had gone out, re-lit and looked out of the window ----it is now snowing as  if it means it, Just what we needed.

Yep, its been snowing here too Doug. The ground is whitish but as its stopped now i think (hope) it will soon disappear

Hope it doesn't last  Been nice here today, after last night's rain and wind - much colder than it's been but dry and sunny. Some rain forecast for the next five days but mainly showery; winds not so bad.

Snowed here off and on all day, what was already on the ground has frozen solid and now its snowing again

we had the weirdest weather this afternoon, i looked out the front and seen it black, yet out the back, there where two massive rainbows and the whole back garden was almost like a bright orange..a few people took pics ,
very very weird..and beautiful,  never seen light like that

Fine here all morning  :sunshine:then clouded over with two massive claps of thunder and hailstones like marbles. Rain for a few hours and now clearing and starting to freeze.

Some rain here after a sunny start. Went Christmas shopping and got back to the car at 7pm to find the windscreen delicately patterned by Jack Frost.

the photos of snow are so pretty BUT......I dread it, there was the tiniest bit in the morning and a dusting on the hills....I love to see it on the hills but to me, snow = danger.

Yes the snow is here the road blocked yesterday.carnt moan onley 3 snow days so far looks like hard work traveling Christmas week .we will work the big day till dinner.it Will be cold for Scotland boxing day will be the rest day .we won't be going noware till its all over 3 rd of Jan solstice Saturday .
