As we descend into the darker days of winter the lice season is upon us ,so get the ivermectins out or Coopers spot on to nip it in the bud before they do damage. they don't like the Summer months with ultra violet rays, these are a winter pest . It doesn't take a lot of them to drag a goat down with anemia through loss of blood and shortage of protein as these things feast on them. So be aware of loss of weight despite eating well, pale gums , staring coat ( like worms) . have a look through the coat and look for the little sods , like headlice in children , can be red or a blueish colour.
