Hiya folks. We have 2 prize winning Saennan goats( wish I could spell breed!), nd a 4mth Togg nd a Nubian goatling. Soon to go to billy!! We were thinking of offering Show Weekends, come and stay on the holding, see the preperation involved nd show the goats on the day. Thinking of charging between 300-400 euro for the weekend. This will include accommodation, show entry, picnic on show day. This will also be a taster on how to trim feet, muck out, groom, and all important how to show a goat!! All at the same time as keeping the holding going. Poultry also going to shows. Any imput much appreciated, nd bookings taken!! Thanx

Whereabouts are you? It's an interesting idea, especially for anyone thinking of showing. Don't know that I'd want anyone strange around whilst I'm getting ready for a show though, I get stressed and usually end up swearing!

Well, my view is that there are so many books on smallholding ect that people read, get the holding and the animals and then can't cope when the reality of going out in the dark in the middle of winter to milk, we wanted to offer a warts and all experience.  Both myself and my partner suffer from ill health, however we still have our humor!! It all looks good on the day, only for the work that's gone into it!! Lol. We are in West Cavan. Ireland.

Tizaala. Thanks for the link to your website. That's the sort of thing!! All speculation at the moment until we are moved. Hope you don't mind a question.  What sort of footfall do you get, and how many people do you have at one time? ( probably said on web site...)
