The idea of the farmers' market has been suggested a couple of times (we actually buy quite a bit there), but I'm put off by all the Health & Safety regulations - we had a small market in the village we lived in before (more or less an extended WI market) and I enquired about selling some home-made creams (as in body lotions) and they were giving me a whole list of rules you had to follow and certificates you needed for this and that. I can sure see the value of good hygiene and other common sense practice, but at the end of it it didn't seem worth it, and any surplus (not a lot) goes to friends and family.
Yes, I love where we are - took us a while to get here (via Brighton and Cornwall), but we settled quite quickly, and I'm nearly ready to start a menagerie - eyeing up a corner of our farmer's barley field.
