Hoping they all hold
« on: October 21, 2013, 05:13:45 pm »
keeping everything crossed at the moment. Every trip to visit the ewes is with my breath held praying for no more raddle marks. Our boys have done well so far and covered all 18 ewes in the space of 2 weeks with just visiting ewes still waiting to be tupped. Oh how I'm hoping that they all hold and we get a compact lambing period. You just know that a couple of them will go again and spread out the sleepless nights over as long a period as possible  ::)

we were spoilt last year- all six were covered within 48 hours with no second helpings and lambing started on Saturday lumchtime and was over by sunday teatime all bang on time- already this year isn't looking quite so promising. opened the gate on Friday and one ewe got hers within about 2 minutes- 3 days later and not a sniff of interest in any of the others.
