living up in the north east of scotland teaches you a whole new language, took me ages to work out what folk were talking about when they used words such as scurries. they are sea gulls

Cripes! 8/10.  As a Yorkshire lass through and through I thought I would fail miserably but those Highland holidays each year as a child clearly had some lasting effect.   :excited:
Doing that swan thing - cool and calm on the surface but paddling like crazy beneath.

I got 8/10 but only have a minute drop of Scottish blood running through my veins, so I was quite pleased and surprised with my score. The local lads in down town Pwllheli, refer to certain  unattractive girls as mingers or as being minging but tell me, the one phrase that I've never been able to comprehend is " Och aye Jimmy"  :idea:  What the heck does that mean then? :roflanim:
