we won 1st prize in the local village show for the best shortbread fingers

Thanks to the original poster for the 'best scottish shortbread recipe ever'

Also our hens produced not only the best brown eggs, but got a special award for the best eggs in the whole of the egg section

That was Townie - who hasn't been on the forum for a long time, but I've just been in contact with her about something else - I shall tell her!

And congratulations, of course. A recipe alone doesn't make a winner...
