New feature: Similar topics
« on: September 20, 2013, 11:03:51 am »
Hello all  :)

We've added a new feature to the forum this morning, not terribly exciting but hopefully quite useful.

It shows a list of up to 5 similar topics at the bottom of each topic page. I'm still tuning the query that matches similar topics, so you might get some slightly odd matches at first, but that just adds to the fun.  :D

Any feedback welcome.

Thanks a bunch Dan, this is a very useful feature and saves hours trawling back through past pages.
Great idea. Well done.

good idea, although a lot of posts divert to similar posts, usually due to comments from people like me ::)

Umm.. I've never seen this, had assumed it wasn't live yet?

I can't see anything either - but then that's not too unusual  :eyelashes:

Ah, that doesn't sound right. Can you see the 'Similar topics' table at the bottom of this thread?

Raspberry canes  :rasp: :rasp: :rasp:    but no table.

But if I look at, say:  http://www.accidentalsmallholder.net/forum/index.php?topic=38170.0;topicseen

then I don't see anything extra - and surely there must be plenty of similar topics to lamb diarrhoea  :sheep:

No, I'm not getting anything new at the bottom of the screen on that topic either.
