I have got a Copper Maran cockerel (young and unproven though) running with a flock of mostly Maran hens at the moment, so can sell eggs but no guarantee of fertility levels.

I am near St Boswells, about 6miles from Ancrum.

Anke.

It's a bit late in the year though isn't it?

Maybe a bit late but they are still at it - I have a Welsummer sitting since last week.

I have Welsummer and Welsummer/Marsh Daisy eggs if you like, again no guarantee of fertility levels but you're welcome to some.  I'm not so near as Anke being 3 miles out of Lauder on the A697.

By the way (and this is completely out there) I was just reading recently that Beatrix Potter's brother is buried in a graveyard in Ancrum, he was a farmer there, married to someone from the area and didn't tell his parents he was married for most or all of his life.  ::)
registered soay, castlemilk moorit  and north ronaldsay sheep, pygmy goats, steinbacher geese, muscovy ducks, various hens, lots of visiting mallards, a naughty border collie, a puss and a couple of guinea pigs
