hello everyone
« on: March 19, 2008, 08:56:26 pm »
Hello all,
just dropped in to see what is going on, seems just about everything happens here.
We have recently moved to France and finally have the space to have some livestock.
Chooks in residence and laying well, very friendly they follow us all over the place and come to meet us when we get home.
We are picking up the sheep, Elsie and new born twins plus 3 month old Spot, on Friday afternoon having spent the last two weeks fencing and getting their shed ready.
Two gorgeous tammys will be with us at the end of April courtesy of Kate and John which should save me a lot of digging for the veg garden.
We also have Kassie, a standard poodle with a sensible haircut, Millie, a springer spaniel who f**ts with alarming regularity, having discovered the culinary delights of old cowpats, and Jill's constant companion Mutley a Jack Russel.
Currently we are all very cosy in a caravan just in front of our house.

Hi and welcome.

We're just about to move in to our caravan for the lambing 'season' - surprisingly I'm really loking forward to it! What's your secret for keeping the floors clean - ours is covered in mud......ok, we could try taking our boots off when we go in!  :P

Looking forward to hearing all your news.

HM - They are Linnies babies, Vanessa is their grandmother.  The whole litter have her character though and their mothers good nature, they are just so lovely!

Hi, In reply to Pebbles' question re keeping the caravan floor clean....we don't!  Tried taking carpets up but that cost us much needed insulation.  It is the dogs that make the mess 'cos they don't have wellies; so we just keep the vacuum cleaner handy (in case the vicar calls)!  To make matters worse (or mud, rather than matters), we have just had two septic tanks installed - so where there was once lovely grass.......

Happy as .... .. .... so we should get on well with piglets when they arrive.

Hope they are better behaved than Vanessa's other daughter, who was caught raiding the fridge this morning.  She got very huffy when the yoghurt she was vandalising was summarily removed.

HM this is going to be more fun than I thought, how did she get in the kitchen and who told her you had yoghurt?

Mad dogs ... You ought to ask HM how the pig ended up on the bed - see the pic of Hilary!

Are you sure you want pigs!
