The micro-meadow was due for a trim, at least the part where Herself has a large square of washing lines and poles.
Problem was the number of wee Orchids. mostly wee pale and deep purple fellows but with some pale yellow sorts thrown in for a bit of a mix.
It took ages to cut but, being fleet of foot a la Wayne Sleep, and some fine manouvering of the Honda Powered Mountfield, the Orchids remain.
Due to all this weaving, bobbing, ducking and diving it took far longer than usual and, therefore, I got a drop of sun burn....on Skye! Still, worth it to see the orchids remain.
Including the uncut area I stopped counting at 50 and it cannot be more than 16th Acre absolute tops!
Seems a good year for the orchids (Elvis Costello!). Hope you all have vast swathes of them too
