I notice Rosemary kept very quiet when she posted the link.   I reckon she owns it and is selling to upgrade to a Caribbean :sunshine: island!  ;)

I can learn to do boats

boat and a jetty in the bay to make getting ashore easier 200k

200 sheep and some chickens (cheap by comparison)

oh and then we need a wind turbine (bet they refuse planning)

hmmm starting to think it needs to be a big lottery win!!!

Bloomer, you're only planning a summer stay - I have the chooks and enough Highland ponies to be trained to do most crofting and transportation work, haul peats, sheep checking etc.  My shopping list is therefore quite a lot shorter:

Island £500k - offset by sale of 10 acre Fife smallholding with mature orchard but need the lottery for securing purchase prior to knowing what the sale will make at closing, plus the inevitable extra, plus the rest of my list..

Polytunnel a must, preferably 2

Transport out for a dozen or so Highland ponies, 20+ chooks and key equipment/personal possessions

Log cabin with solar panels

Generator for emergencies

Animal housing, a large solid barn for everything including equipment

Probably need a milk cow, perhaps with a heifer calf and in calf, a Shetland probably most likely to thrive - could milk a sheep but I've a sore back so it'd have to stand on a table!

Reckon I could arrange a weekly, maybe monthly boat visit from Benbecula without having to  buy a boat, but if I could get a wee one that would do me fine

I can manage with a camping stove but a raeburn would be my luxury item if it's a good lottery winning..

MGM that would be fab, I could cope with goat milk but not with goat handling, tho I'll offer a pony to round them up on  But you wouldn't be MGM anymore, you'd be MIG, Mad Island Goatwoman  ;D

Bloomer if that's your summer list then I suppose I am in for the sheep keeping while you're away, so I'm going to need to upgrade my demands on your labour skills tho I can't see decking being quite right unless it has galeproof conservatory storm doors all round it  ;D   Maybe you could build a jetty for my boat, that's pretty much decking and would also be a good picnic site and swim base so I need to buy a wetsuit cos I can't see the water being warm very often..  ;)

So, when are we going to view?

id like to point out i have skills beyond decking  :P :P :P

in fairness the water there shouldn't be to bad in the summer have dived all up the west coast and its often very pleasant in the water...

i did look at going for a site visit, but apparently unless i already have a boat its a bit tricky!!!

wonder if i can use a kiddies dingy!!!
