I managed to record most of that, very interesting, also the Australian one, missed the beginning but interesting, we think we have problems with dogs here, they have feral dogs, I think it was 40% of the lamb crop they lost and they thought a sheep had been still alive while the dogs ate it's insides - HORRIBLE. also covered live exports.

Agree it was a very good series, showing a subject in depth rather than the usual surface glitter. Very interesting stuff!

Ooooo  ile watch that later....

when i was out in Nepal in 98 , we where on our way back from a 10 day trek , when we came upon a goat seller..selling meat...lets just say, you wouldn't want to see the practice of butchery like they did, in this country.... i think the whole group of 30 just gasped it was shocking...no respect for the animal at all

Looks a good one to catch up on later, there is not much on TV that I find interesting but that looks something that I could sit and watch!

I watched the first two (Afghanistan and Peru) but unfortunately missed the Australian one.  I found it very interesting and enjoyable viewing too (and Kate Humble usually annoys me  :innocent: )

Having been to Nepal at least 15 times I don't think that you can really equate animal welfare in a poverty stricken third world country with the west. Especially when we still allow slaughter without pre stunning for religious reasons here in the UK.

Would have liked to have watched it but can't stand Kate Bumble.

I feel the same about Kate Humble but OH watched it with our son who really enjoyed it.  He did record one so might just have to see if it is any good and if I can get past Kate Humble!

I gave a plastic bag to a little guy in the airport.... when we got through customs, it ended up as his new roof.... outside the airport
