Hi  from  Shropshire. The correct word is actually allotmenteer so you were nearly there. You'll find lots of useful advice on here and plenty of friendly people.

Hello and welcome from Carnoustie 

We grow veggies, small orchard (70 trees), Shetland cattle, Coloured Ryeland sheep, two Kune Kune pigs for the freezer and about 100 hens. Plus 2 dogs, three cats and two ponies. And the Scottish Smallholder and Grower Festival - along with happyhippy
