Tess's ring of confidence
« on: June 25, 2013, 09:42:32 pm »
Had Tess and Meg (and Bertie) at the vet last week for annual check and boosters. Meg's teeth are pretty good - worn through stick chewing but pretty clean. Tess's were horrid, although they weren't giving her any specific trouble. However, after some discussion with the vet, we decided to have them scaled and polished under anaesthetic. We thought it better to do them now that wait until they give trouble by which time she might be too old / sick for treatment.

As she's 13, we were a wee bit worried but the blood tests on kidney and liver function were fine and the vet was going to give her IV fuids as well.

Anyway, picked her up yesterday afternoon and her teeth are sparklier than a sparkly thing. She's got toothpaste and a brush, so we start brushing next Monday.

As always with Tess, she's happy to let you see them - just ask her to move out of your way and she'll display them all  ;D ( her really)

Oh sorry - Tess showing her teeth is a precursor to a snap so the teeth are only visible momentarily  ::)
