What has happened to Harnessgoats.co.uk?  Isn't it going anymore?

Oh no - what's happened there then?  Perhaps another forum member will be able to throw some light on it...  Many moons ago they used to have a really good society / newsletter etc. - all about harness and pack goats :goat: .

I used to have a lovely pack goat, but then the dreaded foot-and-mouth struck, so movements were so restricted it never really happened for us.

I really hope my two new wethers might be future stars of the goat packing / harness world though, and was looking into it myself...  Web address says 'Access Forbidden'!!!

Any other pack / harness goat enthusiasts out there?

I was a member from the very start  but dropped it a couple of years ago.

Foot and mouth killed it for me too.We used to be able to meet up and practice regularly but the cost of having vetting etc made it impractable plus having to pay to have the field inspected ::)  When it comes to technology I find goat people aren't good so they've probably dropped the Website

Oh no......I kept a castrated Anglo Nubian boy from last year, with the intention of having him in harness. I always found that website interesting, but had not looked for ages, so no idea it was no more.

The harness goat society is still going  :)  Just membership is very low and its down to 'the original oldies' at the moment. Give me a shout if anyone wants to get in touch if the website is still down and I can give you names/email/fb

I have just come across this website and thought I would join in.  The Harness Goat Society is very much up and running with plenty of members nationwide.  Not a great number of active members at events sadly, no doubt due to the Foot & Mouth and also financial restrictions.  I am secretary and I am sorry that the website has been down for sometime. We have had problems after our webmaster retired and at last have a new webmaster who I hope is going to remedy the problems.  We have around 50 members both old and young and hope that some of the younger members will become more active when their goats are fully trained.
If anyone wants advice or help do contact me and I'll be very pleased to chat with you.
