Well after the worst rain fall I have seen for a very long time the building has now stopped leaking. There was water pouring through the lights in the bar(downstairs) and one of the guest bedrooms which is directly above the bar got a drenching too. As did the upstairs landing and a few other places. We had repairs done to the roof a while back and we are sure that it was just so heavy the drain could not cope so the water overflowed. The resident in the room thought it was funny but all has been mopped up again so that's it till the next time!

http://www.ratedpeople.com/ I've been told it's one of the better sites for getting tradespeople in, we are getting three different quotes this week so we shall see, I was told they cannot fiddle feedback so thats OK, a bit like E Bay, the site also gives you tips......we need tradespeople all the time, after you left I got the plumber in again, a quick repair job as something on the hot water switch had gone!!!!!
Thanks for that Sandy - first of three tradesmen has been round this morning and will quote this afternoon.  Can't believe how fast he contacted me and came round this morning.  Very nice and well spoken young man.

2nd one coming Friday 6pm, but already have an excellent quote from the 1st one - that is a really good website. I had a look at the ratings this morning.
As for the rain - I was going out to do some training with Allez when it came down yet again.  Trouble is now it's wet and slippy and I'm reluctant to go now.  Might just do some in the garden instead.  I hate this yo-yo weather - it certainly wasn't anything like as bad last year - I remember quite clearly because it was my first year down here and I was able to eat outside a lot so we must have had many dry sunny days.
