The situation is: Margot was due to farrow last Sunday so the 2 weaners were sent to piggie heaven on monday, Margot has still not farrowed and she now has no company, What do i do? Get a couple of weaners to keep her company as Im worried she is all her on a lonesome or will she be ok on her own till she farrows?

She will be fine on her own until she farrows. I always bring mine in a couple of weeks before and they are quite happy on their own. Hope all goes well.

As bb says just visit as often as you can, if you can sit with her for 30 minutes a night it may even help with her being used to you during farrowing

Hi

We are in a similar situation. Waiting for our Flo to farrow, just a week to go. We are going to move her up  to the lambing shed (thought it better than the ark we were originally going to use) so she will be on her own. We will give her a walk and a rub each night.

I had thought of letting the Kunekunes roam the field next to her pen but she hates them so much, I'm not sure she'd appreciate the gesture!

Exciting and nerve racking isn't it?! :excited:
