Hi

I am looking forward to learning from you all.  At the moment we have 4 chooks and a fab cockerel. We are moving to Spain at the end of the year.  We are planning to have a semi self sufficient lifestyle.  We are taking early retirement LOL in our mid 50's. :roflanim:

I would love to hear from anyone in Spain already.

My main interests are

Chooks - layers and eaters

My lovely cockerel is in the pic

Goats  -  Milk

Vegetables

Possibly - pigs IE weaners to bring on to the freezer.

But I have a lot to learn and may just end up with chooks and veg LOL

Hello!

Welcome from Worcestershire   I keep goats, sheep, chickens and grow fruit and veg. Make soap from goats milk, plum wine from plums (surprisingly!) and chakra crystal sun catchers  :)

Just come back from a week in Spain (northern) very envious - you lucky things!!

 Hi, just catching up as its been too sunny to be inside, how wonderful to live in Spain!!! I only have a few hens now but I love the ethos of self sufficiency, just feel its too late for me..unless I get a windfall.....I love the countryside and would love a goat or two but not practical...............for now!

Can't see what's crazy about that.  ;) What breed goats are you thinking of getting? Mine are pure Sanaan and a Sanaan cross - lovely, placid girls.

I have no idea to be honest.  I am going to have to be guided by what I find in Spain.
