Over the last 2 days I have, painted the double doors on the large barn, picked up droppings both days from the paddocks, washed and polished my car, planted out veg in the veg plot and the pollytunnel. weeded the garden, washed 2 ponies, cleaned out the chickens, had Rory in his driving harness pulling tyres around the paddock. Add a little bit of housework and I think you will agree I have been pretty busy. tonight I am sitting with my feet up having a glass of wine planning my jobs for the next couple of days.

Having some long awaited sun really help to get motivated doesn't it.

I have been out weeding creeping buttercup from the orchard  ::) but my brown bin is full and I don't like to put them in the compost as they regrow so I've a few heaps drying in the sun hopefully, then I need to get on with scything the nettles as they're almost reaching the electric fencing and I've had a few egg stashes in nettles where they seem to think I won't venture.. but I did, and I'm now more motivated to get them cut than usual  ;)   Never ends this time of year, weeds always faster than things you want to grow!

Anyone fancy a busmans' holiday, feel free - Fife's lovely this time of year  :fc: :innocent:

On each of the last three days I've driven a few miles to pick up a cake tin, baked a tier or two of my son's wedding cake and made cheese. This is as well as feeding and milking goats, sweeping goat yard and cleaning up dog poo. The last cake is in the oven, the cheese is draining and another lot of milk is separating so I am sitting down and catching up on here.
