Just an update...I bought some stuff thats not Piriton but AllerTek with the active ingredients being
Cetirizine dihydrochloride...I keep reading that is OK but still a tad concerned......is it OK? I will ask the vet as well...although she is not bad I do not want her to get worse and a point of sore skin..still think its pollen from grass as its not long flared up again and its only one of my dogs.  I now am going to attemt to bath them ALL!!!!  WET WET WET...comes to mind!! :innocent:

Try shampoo with oatmeal or aloe in it, really good for sore skin, I use these on sensitive skin dogs ll the time, and make sure you get all the shampoo off the one with the problem

Just showered them, well 2 out of the 3, used dog shampoo but I honestly found the best one was one Plumbs made, it was with goat milk and I could hold the bar and rub them.....I will give the dog with the itch some extra fish oil, we often add scrambled egg or pilchards etc.....she looks OK but I can see she keeps itching!! bedding is on the line too and I have just commented on my Facebook that now I am more wet and  hairy than they are.......just got to wash our Yellow Lab, she appears not to want a shower but enjoyed her early mud bath on our walk!! :innocent:

Citirizene is a strong AH - that is what I have for perennial rhinitis.  I would check with your vet first as there may be different strengths
Always have been, always will be, a WYSIWYG - black is black, white is white - no grey in my life! But I'm mellowing in my old age

I have some excellent solid soap for dogs with sensitive skin that I got from Crufts last year - when I get home I will look at the wrapper and give you their website address.

Solid bar is so much easier,  you can rub it on them....I did get my dogs bar accidently mixed in with my stuff and used it on myself.....I had a lovely shinny coat and wet nose for weeks :innocent:

But Sandy it was a bit embarrassing when you ran up to everyone sniffing their crotch and don't even mention the times you got cold water chucked over you for humping in the park , that poor park keeper will never be the same again !

I often forget and think of the dogs as my children.......as long as I do not start eating thier food of pooing in the garden...I suppose I am still human
