Oh, and Ofsted - having just spent a 'pleasant' couple of days with them this week.      :-J

Lucky you, ours was a few weeks ago. To be fair the inspection itself didn't bother me that much, it's all the 'improvements' we are having to live with in the aftermath that are annoying me.

One said the other day, Why do you want a smallholding... i just took a second to think..then replied..because  i want to chase chickens and goats around when its p****** down with rain...i want to stand in the freezing cold trying start a broken tractor. I want a bank account thats always empty.....but most of all.... i want to wake up every morning and do what i want to do...

Far too many things annoy me to list them all. but for starters:
1 people (well usually the wife) moving my tools before i've finished with them- I know it looks as if they're just thrown around in random fashion but this system has taken years to perfect.
2 others saying they're going to do something and you relying on that and then them not doing it especially when it comes to my animals- like booking the shearer, or a ram or slaughter dates with the abbatoir- aaaaaaaaaagh!!
3 people not controlling their dogs
4 people not looking after animals
5 people basically
that feels better
cheers people

Having to buy new frames at vast expense every time I need new lenses    I like my old frames and they're only a year old  ???

I'm with you there, FW.

Another thing that annoys me if people who are convinced that you will enjoy what they enjoy. I have friends who wanted to take us on a trip to the Trafford Centre in Manchester on the basis OH and I would love it. I said I don't like shopping but was told I would enjoy it and there is such a wide choice of places to eat. All that means is we could all have our choice by eating at different places. Hmmm! It took ages to convince them that a two hour drive there, followed by a day going round shops then a two hour drive home is my idea of hell. I told them they should spend a day with my goats on the basis that they would love it. I don't think they were convinced about that either.  :roflanim:

Specsavers have put new lenses in all six pair of my glasses after diabetes change my requirements .. they are the big John denver style lens & metal frames . There is no way I was going to be able to afford £500 plus.

2 pr driving , 2 pr computer screen , 2 pair reading books and small print .
2 pr for driving ,always two pair because if I'm out and a lose a lens or break a pair I can still legally drive by using the spare set . I usualy keep a computer & reading pair in the car as well .
Vari & bi focal , tri focal etc etc.& these sily micro lens specs  make me feel giddy and usually I end up puking because of it.

Specsavers say they will change the lenses if I insist on keeping my old frames, but it will cost more than buying new  ???

I also hate varifocals - can't see where I'm putting my feet and they make me sick too.  I have got a bit more used to bifocals, but I never wear them for walking about, just when I'm sitting.

I have a few pairs lying about (old ones which I use for computer, cooking, gardening and so on)  but nothing like as many as you do plantoid - I would get in a total muddle as to which ones were which  ;D

I use a small 10 mm length of clear silicone tube on the arms to identify them .
Gently slide off the ear protecttor  slip on the tube then replace the protector
Left arm for looking  , right arm for reading and those with something on both are " completely computer "  It makes it easy to see which are which and there o=is of course the sense of touch as well .

A prime example of my annoyance was this weekend, my husbands idea of cleaning the garage is pilling everything in one courner so  you now cannot get at anything....he was annoyed with ME as he could not find a small step stool.......and guess where HE had put it? at the back of all the other stuff......phewwwwwwwwww...better now...love him though

On the toilet seat front, I had the problem in other houses when there was not much proper sitting room so you sort of sat scew whif :roflanim: , that put tension on the brakets and so they come loose, our toilets here are pretty central so  you can sit square....

Toilet seats..... Why do they always come loose? ???

Because men insist on leaving them up and that puts too much strain on the hinges as they are taking all the weight. That's my theory anyway.

No, I disagree Lesley :innocent: , its not sitting properly on them,  you have to take a proper aim and sit square otherwise the seat twists and you could miss :innocent:

Have to disagree - I can count the number of times my loo has been used by a man on the fingers of one hand (a blind butcher's hand at that) - and my seat still comes loose...

So just for once I think we can't blame men for this evil!  ;D
