Need to find a home for my pygmy goats :(
« on: May 19, 2013, 08:23:40 pm »
Hi all

I have two lovely Pygmy goats, twin boys - both castrated.  They are very cute tricoloured goatlings and I bought them last October at a sale.

Unfortuntely I'm going to have to admit defeat and findthem a home, we live next to a busy main road and I'm terrified that one of them will escape and be killed on the road.  they are very athletic and either jump out or get their heads stuck in the fence which is very distressing - I work full time and dont want to come home to find one dead in the fence line :(

if you know anyone who would like them, please let me know.  they are friendly (will take food from your hand once they know you) but won't get under your feet.

please email biggareventer@gmail.com if you know anyone.

Many thanks in advance

sad and worried goat owner.

I can give them a home with my goats, unless someone else is very keen for them  :goat:

Just wanted to add that they have found the most perfect Goat paradise home.

Thanks J, I hope they are no trouble and fit in well with your current herd.

They are being very good boys, though understandably a bit nervous for now.

They have both decided they like sultanas (as well as bread!) and they both got strokes yesterday, though it was a bit 'eyes screwed up and teeth gritted'  :D Still, they both survived and hopefully they'll see that nothing terrible happens  ;)

Ellie's kids like them very much and spend a lot of time standing on the hayrack lid, talking to them through the gate.

We put a window in the paddock house yesterday and today I will make them a sleeping platform for out there - at the moment they've borrowed Rowan's.

So I think they'll be fine  :)

Looks like it  ;)

They'll be the only animals on the place that don't 'do' anything -  but they're pretty small, they did need a home, and they'll fit into what's here without much adjustment or bother.

We've just had another 'sultana eating and stroking' time - they're getting braver  :)

Here are photos, for Goosepimple.

They're ArticFox's pics, not mine yet.

The little guy looking straight forward, and jumping! is Eric, and the one looking to the right is Frank.

Oh what a superb little double act!  Like the names too.  Brilliant markings, some of the nicest I've seen, really.  :excited:  Pity they aren't intact you could have made a bob or two.

And they fly, what more could you want?  ;D
