IRAQ
A sovereign state that was illegally invaded. Whatever the wrongs and rights of Saddam, it was illegal. The plight of the kurds does not was with me either, as he got hiy in the first Iraq war for that. Bottom line was that hundreds of thousands of Iraqs and thousands of allied troops died for nothing. Bush and Blair ride off into the sunset.
IRAN
Potentially dangerous, with the possiblity of nuclear war heads in the not to distant future. However its another easy target for America, and would make a great armchair distraction, whilse the world economy crumbles around us.
North Korea
Certainly in my mind at least the most dangerous country to deal with. However their massive arms, neatly side step any desire to attack them. And as thats Israels stock excuse for having nuclear weapons , it should be ok for Korea as well. N. Korea blusters and plays the cat and mouse game with the west. In my opinion it will continue like that for a long time. Neither side wanting to start a nuclear war.
China
No interest in my opinion, of any world dominiation. For sure they would react if attacked, buy hey, they have Macdonalds now ! China is just one big shop, selling to the planet, and thats the whey they will dominate. Through money and major investing in Europe and America. We buy their crap plastic junk ...they buy our institutions.
Pakistan
A hot pot that is sliding into chaos. Hot headed and not over friendly with its neighbours.
Afghanistan
A nightmare, Vietnam on steroids. US/allied forces will never stamp out the Taliban. it aint going to happen, and the fact that we went in there in the first place only shows how limited our collective politicians brains are. A true disaster on all fronts.
Muslims in Europe.
Not in my opinion the great threat that we are being told to expect. I do not anticipate a muslim state in any European countries. Militant extremists are a tiny allbeit horrible minority. Magnified by ' papers' such as the Mail. The vast majority of muslims just want to get on with their lives, like you and me.
The biggest threat to European culture and life in general will probably be the constant and ever increasing amount of legal EU citizens from other countries. Not a threat to our lives but a threat to our way of life. But thats it folks, the cards were dealt ( crooked by Heath ) but its done and dusted.
