I think it's called swine flu ,because the largest part of it's genetic make up is swine flu the rest is avian and human flu. What a concoction eh!

Must have turned two pages? ;D

who funds the world health organisation?

http://www.who.int/csr/disease/swineflu/notes/h1n1_vaccine_20090713/en/index.html

this chapter is scary :-[
•Since new technologies are involved in the production of some pandemic vaccines, which have not yet been extensively evaluated for their safety in certain population groups, it is very important to implement post-marketing surveillance of the highest possible quality. In addition, rapid sharing of the results of immunogenicity and post-marketing safety and effectiveness studies among the international community will be essential for allowing countries to make necessary adjustments to their vaccination policies.

jOE  your question was why do they call it swine flu? NOT where did it come from? Two very different questions .It does have to do with pigs if you look at it's genetic make up, plus the public and press love an easy short catchy name. As to where it came from we could ponder that one for a very long time! But in all this we are supposing that mankind is the ultimate inventor, what about the best inventor of them ALL MOTHER NATURE .Perhaps it's natures way of telling us there's too many of us on this planet that we just keep plundering.Maybe it's another BLACK DEATH[only cleaner] Nature usually finds a balance especially if a species becomes a PROBLEM.

Hello Gavo  ;D

This is a cutting from an article that can be found at
www.naturalnews.com
It seem that if you are right and it is down to Mother Nature then she is a bit of a Bi*ch to the poor old birdies!.
Sending them from pig to pig just so she can get rid of US!.
I wonder if she is using Carrier Pigeons?.
Maybe just maybe, Pat might start selling Black death as well as Black bacon up their in Fermanagh!!!.  ;D  ;D
It is also quiet amazing that the list of viral code fragments Start, HUMAN FLU !.
The artice reads as follows.
Kindest regards
Joe

I am not a medical specialist in the area of infectious disease, but I have studied microbiology, genetics and a considerable amount of material on pandemics. What seems suspicious to me is the hybrid origin of the viral fragments found in H1N1 influenza. According to reports in the mainstream media (which has no reason to lie about this particular detail), this strain of influenza contains viral code fragments from:

• Human influenza
• Bird Flu from North America
• Swine flu from Europe
• Swine flu from Asia

This is rather astonishing to realize, because for this to have been a natural combination of viral fragments, it means an infected bird from North America would have had to infect pigs in Europe, then be re-infected by those some pigs with an unlikely cross-species mutation that allowed the bird to carry it again, then that bird would have had to fly to Asia and infected pigs there, and those Asian pigs then mutated the virus once again (while preserving the European swine and bird flu elements) to become human transmittable, and then a human would have had to catch that virus from the Asian pigs -- in Mexico! -- and spread it to others. (This isn't the only explanation of how it could have happened, but it is one scenario that gives you an idea of the complexity of such a thing happening).

P.S.
I do hope that you or no one you know get the New CLEANER black death.  :)  :)

Every thing in nature is complex from ants right up to us wonderful people! Your list is very nice is it in quantity order? Or is it random? Pat may be selling black bacon but it has NOT got a patch on our lovely outdoor reared bacon. I don't think selling the black death will catch on up here, perhaps you should try it down your way ::) Not overly worried about SWINE FLU at the moment not a deadly strain yet if it does mutate further will worry then, and anyway might half inch the wifes fully protective face mask just in case!

Hello Gavo

You would have to ask the man who wrote it about that?.

When did you start selling your Bacon in Harrods Food Hall along side Pats Black Bacon ?.

Congratulations if you are, I do believe though that Pat is rearing his Pigs on an Island just beside you Or at least that is what they said on Jimmys Farming Hero's and Local Food Hero's on T.V.

As for it not being DEADLY why have so many People died from it around the World?.

Kindest Regards
Joe  :)

Hello Smiffy,

That is exactly the thing, It takes years of testing to see if a vaccine is safe as we all know all Medicine has side effects.

I wonder what delights this one has in store for us.

Don't know if it is TRUE but I was told yesterday that Obama (Obamanation) is going to make it Compulsary that all Americans have to have the Vaccine.

If he does the rest of the World and the W.H.O will follow!.

Kindest regards
Joe  :)

Well so all our produce must be crap YOURS INCLUDED just because we don't sell in HARRODS  Isn't marketing a wonderful thing ? As for DEADLY VIRUSES it's a numbers question ,.only when the virus kills a certain percentage of those it infects do orgs like the W.H.O consider it deadly. A hard fact to swallow i know if it hits you and yours but that's the way it is. I don't think  i'll bother the nice man who wrote the piece. You can think what you like and i'll do the same if that's alright with you . It's a funny old world eh, who knows whose right and whose wrong, does it really mater in the great scheme of things?

Hello Gavo,
Marketing is wonderful, That is why I sell out Every week.
I do believe that it was YOU and NOT ME that stated that Pats Bacon was not a Patch on your Bacon.
You statement read as follows.

Pat may be selling black bacon but it has NOT got a patch on our lovely outdoor reared bacon.

All I was saying is if it's not a patch on yours, Why are you not supplying Harrods like Pat.

I supply enough Artisan Food Halls,Local restaurants and Farmers Markets so that I can make a living out of this and not have to work else where!.(How is Sean Quinn these days)

Not bad for someone who as you put it is selling Crap!.

I would of thought that someone like you from the BIG SMOKE (another one of your statements) would have understood that marketing is important.

When I passed your house a few weeks ago Did I not see a sign (Marketing sign of course) out side offering your produce for sale.
Have I been mistaken that you Yourself like Marketing as a statement on YOUR web site reads.
Do you long for Pork that has real flavour and taste? Pork that melts in your mouth? Succulent and juicy when cooked? Traditional dry cured bacon and award winning hand made sausages?

I believe all of these things are Marketing so don't try to be sarcastic about Marketing when you yourself love to use it!.

As for me I love it!. The more the better from The Irish times to my Local paper,Local Radio to T.V it all Helps,As I have allready said I sell out Every Week!.  :)  :)  :)  :)

I do agree that we can all think what we like though and as for who is right or wrong Who gives a S**T!.

Kindest regards to all
Joe  :) :)

Joe,
My reference to marketing was aimed at Pat not you or I, I will not comment on how or where he rears his pigs. I unlike Pat, do not rear on such a large commercial scale therefore would never have enough bacon to supply harrods as I have more than enough customers to purchase all the bacon I can produce. We choose to supply the customer direct, no middle men of any sorts, this keeps us and our customers happy. I was not being at all sarcastic about marketing as it's a tool we all use, some just have more money for such things than others.
By the way Sean Quinn is very well these days and is a joy to work for, a pity there aren't more employers like him, as I do love my job although on occasion like most people I complain about it.(that's human nature). I still believe our bacon is better and have had many happy customers say the same. As for our website statements we feel these to be correct NOT just a marketing phrase. Can either of us be right or wrong when alot of this comes down to our customers palate ? As for selling out every week, I'm glad we both have the same problem - Isn't it great that there are people out there with TASTE ?  :pig:  ;D

Hello Gavo,

I like you are not a commercial Farmer . :farmer:
But I am very pleased that you are having the same problem as me at the end of the week.(Sold out that is)
I do 99% of our sales (To cut out the middle man)and get the same responce as you from our customers.
I do on the other hand supply a few Health food shops with our Gluten free sausages but I have only ever got 100% positive feed back.
Wishing you every success in the future.
Kind regards
Joe :)
