Yes that postcode is correct.the A40 between Carmarthen and Llandeilo. At Nantgaredig head North on the Brechfa road – and it is on the right before you reach the brow of the hill. Parking is a tad limited so some may need to park by the turning in. Also I'm not sure if dogs are allowed; so dog owners may have to leave them in their cars

Called in at Wright's today just to confirm that all is ok with the room. All ok.

However, I did ask about dogs and whilst they don't mind them on the outside patio area they don't allow them in the inside part of the restaurant/shop.

See you Thursday

Hi all,

Been just so busy with animals, bees, garden  and  daughters wedding etc etc. have not had much time lately to visit the forum so only just seen the post. Would love to make it on Thurs with my other half who grew up in Nantgaredig. If there is still room I will confirm later when other half returns from afar.

Would anyone coming to the meet like  two freshly cut cuttings wrapped in damp kitchen towel in a poly bag  so you can root them and have
 Chou D ' Aubenton ( sp ).

Better known as " Perennial Kale " .
It grows well , all year round very hardy down to about minus 15 o C even ,lower if slightly protected , yet it's sweet and tender when boiled , used as sag aloo  ,  bubble & squeak  etc. all year round if you get you planting /cuttings spaced out .  Chooks love it so do pigs it's a brassica like cabbages
Distance between plants best at about 1.78 metre ( six feet ) .
As for all brassica once a plant is removed practice crop rotation of at least three years gap to prevent any disease build up in the ground .

Once your cuttings are rooted  and grown to about 2 foot across make more of your own cuttings and grow in big patches for house and stock consumption.
They like well aged  manured soil that stays reasonably moist in hot ( did I actually say ... Hot :relief: ) for best results.

Drop me a PM so I can cut the right number of cutting on Thursday morning )

Keep taking cuttings at the  end of Aug to ensure new plants the next year and when they have got going give to old plants to the stock
