Still alive UPDATE NEW PHOTO
« on: April 11, 2013, 06:13:31 pm »
This time yesterday when I went to get the goats up from the field, the last angora had kidded and was stood over two tiny girls. She'd licked them clean but They weren't doing much.  I thought one was dead.
Rushed them indoors and overnight managed to revive them.  They had several feeds of colostrum by tube but I haven't managed to get them to suck yet.
Keep your fingers crossed for them.

Curled up on a mat in front of the rayburn.  Still won't suck, just dribble it.
So I'm sticky from one end and wet from the other. ::)

To cheer everyone up on a dreary afternoon after a horrid week for a lot of people.
The mini -twins are doing well, now out with their mum who loves them dearly.
The slightly bigger one sucked from mum this afternoon with help to find the teat and the little one is sucking a bottle better today.
Just need to shear her now so they can find the milkbar.

They've started doing all the goat kid things like jumping on mum, sneeking out of the pen through the bars and not finding the way back and all those little twisty jumps they do. ;D

Even the littlest is starting to suck from mum.
It amazes me how well they've come on considering I thought one was dead 3 days ago.
Worth the sleepless nights.
