[Hillview Farm]

I went up to check the girls in the barn at lunch time, fed them and so on. Everyone ate fine and then I noticed one (Miss Suffolk) was a little off colour. she laid down and grunted and grind her teeth.I just thought she was umcomfortable as shes 6 days away from lambing but I went back to work ( Sheep are on the same farm) came back 2 hours later to be faced with two lambs up on their feet with full bellies! The sneaky girl had spat these lambs out quick time!

Anyway I'm over the moon with my lambs as they are my first ever lambs of my own! Got a nice ewe lamb and a ram lamb= One happy me

Awwww lovely. 


Ours started today aswell. OH is going away for the next four days so I'm on my own.


Now I remember that awful gnawing in my tummy feeling - hoping they're going to be OK and worried that Mum is going to reject them or they are not going to get a feed or they are going to weaken and die.


Hasn't happened yet so statistically - there's got to be a first time.

OH has said that I have to mention that last year he was on his own for most of the lambing and it was all fine

Tonight i'm on my own. I get abit scared in the dark but getting here to see.my two beautiful lambs springing in their  pen and happy munching all round is the best feeling!

Dont worry kan, i'm sure they wont be long!

Mine aren't due for another week or so, but given the weather, the ewes can hang on as long as they like as far as I am concerned...
