I have been to tesco just now and confronted the lady at customer services, she assured me, as I was being escorted out of the store by a rather large gentleman, that they did not know about the horse meat or the lack of fish in the sea but they where aware of the chicken issues, she also shouted that she would look into the issues regarding umbongo as i was 'leaving', but wasn't sure if they still carried it in store

I see that if I sell something that's not what it says it is, then it IS my fault, like in any team, a worker messes up and its the boss or line managers fault, we need someone to blame, then of course the buyers may well have a budget to buy stuff so get brownie points for bargain deals, the buyers may or may not know, not every rep or buyer knows all about the farming process, then the food can go into the supermarket at a good price where Joe Bloggs like me, who just wants to feed their family and has no idea of the ins and outs of farming or growing stuff so, the supermarket with the cheaper value stuff sells more and then they can also sell on more of the more expensive stuff, I know I am rambling but honestly, I used to give very little tough to where my food came from or how it was produced, just wanted to spent my shopping budget and keep my family happy, so, we can only blame the supermarkets.., they now have the perfect excuse to sell the same food for much more money now with a new label saying "Beef" or "Pork"

I seem to have missed something.  What's with Umbongo?  Just googled it and all I can find is that it's a fruit drink.

Sadly they don't

And it's not made by hippos either

See how much influence adverts have on us, I remember that advert,, and them Bongo vans are good, they are small camper vans, bit like my old VW 's.........not sure Tesco has a car sales

They actually were careful not to say that Um Bongo was made in the Congo, they said 'dey drink it in dee Congo' which means it might actually have been made in Inverplopton all along. I seem to remember the adverts graphics were similarly culturally enlightened as the lyrics :-oo

Well, for the avoidance of any doubt...

Way down deep in the middle of the Congo,

Um Bongo, Um Bongo, They drink it in the Congo.

They all prefer the sunny funny one they call Um Bongo!

I think the former demonstrates that it was indeed all aledgidly made in the Congo, I thus rest my case m'lud.

And feisty, yes I did remember my ciggies, I am a little calmer now
