FREE POLY TUNNEL - KRYPTON FACTOR VERSION.
« on: February 26, 2013, 10:23:03 pm »
Now, before you get excited let me tell you the story.
I bought this bl**dy tunnel 18 months ago for £150.  I took it home, dumped it in the field and left it as couldn't get anyone to put a cover on for me.  Roll forward to today.  A couple down the road said they would like a tunnel and I said they could have mine for £100 as I'd never use it, so I spent the day hauling the thing across six muddy acres and along with the man, took it to their shed to build.
we laid it all out, fourteen arches, nine poles that length, three that lenght, four another lenght, and two others along with an assortment of crossed bits for joining the arcs to the middle bar, some corners and straight bits for joining.
We looked at it, put some bits together, but couldn't make any sense of it at all and decided there must be some bits missing.  Neither of us have the ability to fabricate the pieces that could join the tunnel, having neither the tools or knowledge, so we have returned the frame to my field, lying it conveniently at the gate for any thieving chancer who may be passing.
However, if it's not stolen, I would like to offer it to anyone who feels they have the ability to rebuild it, so if you have that ability, desire, knowledge, equipment, or just an obedient able husband with those pre-requisites, and you want a tunnel, let me know. It is a big one, i bought it believing it to be 60 feet long and about 27 feet wide, so maybe it could go in two lots, half each, fight it out among yourselves but first come first served.
I accept no responsibility for loss injury or divorce caused by this tunnel.
It's in Somerset, near Langport, I would be delighted to see the back of it, might even help load it onto your trailer. I know i said in the title it was free but that was just so you'd read the advert, I actually would like a bottle of nice red wine in exchange, and maybe a cadburys twirl or two since i'm rather fond of them as well....
Fingers crossed (apart from the four i trapped moving the tunnel to day, the splints make crossing them impossible) that someone wants a challenge and a tunnel.

Thats a shame Happy Hippy, maybe if i joined all the bits together it would reach and you could pull it and i'd push, but probably not so Gunnermark, it's about three miles from langport, just down the hill from high ham, between low ham and henley.

Great idea Suziequeue, I shall make them sign in blood before they leave with it, that any and all tunnel action must be recorded for our future enjoyment and pi$$taking : :excited:
Hey maybe I could take their reg number and phone the police and say it's a stolen tunnel, then it might be on RoadCops TV one day, that would be great for a laugh  :roflanim: :roflanim:
Don't worry new owner, i'm only joking, I'd never expect you to sign in blood!
