errrrr, I had a TAX rebate and bought myself some boots and the I pad, that was at my husbands suggestion and guess what    He is on it more than me, we now need 2, she will love it, I feel the romance!

There are 3 of us in the house and we have 3 ipad 2s.

They do everything I want, I run my business off mine, use it for everything, I've got pages and numbers (word &excel compatible), I've got bento which is a database programme and all sorts if goodies as well, mines a 32gb one with a SIM card in it, which csts me a tenner a month.

We have an AirPrint enabled printer and can print out whatever we want which is great cos you couldn't do that at first.

I luv my ipad, I would cry if it broke.

If you buy one for her, you'll end up getting yourself one, so buy 2 ad save yourself the envy.

Falling outta love with my iPad tbh.   Simple cut paste functions are clumsy and I can't stand the way that the majority of business related docs are android based and well, the mac apps aren't really up to the same spec.  I also get cheesed off that I can't access some stuff because it is mac based - ie: my boy can't okay Moshi monsters etc  It has given me greater speed for t'internet (v much appreciated we are super slow here) but that's the only real benefit.  Santa brought us a giant laptop this Xmas and I am tending to use that more and more. We would love a wi fi printer, I did get myself a app called Pages, a word processing one, easy peasy to use, just love it BUT, would love it better with a printer!!

Sandy,  you need an AirPrint printer, mines a brother one, cost around £90, MAKE SURE IT'S AIRPRINT ENABLED otherwise doesn't work (says me who bought a Kodak hero which only printed photos) and then bought the brother, and then my daughters printer broke at uni, so she got the hero, which made me a hero, and I didn't end up wasting a shed load of cash again

Asda are selling an Epson all in one printer that once you download the app (epson iprint), is compatible with iphone / ipad etc...40 quid and it works !!!

Oooooooh, check it first, the Kodak app only let you print photos not pages or anything like that...

Course if you've already checked it then ignore me, I just spent loads on something that didn't work on the apps I wanted it to

No idea about iPads except the bizarre need to create an iTunes account before it can be used. Not sure if that is still the case?
 
Herself has a KindleFire and she is v v happy with it. TV, LoveFilm, Web. kindle-books and, most importantly, she handles B&B emails/bookings etc. when out and about. Also it is Android like her LG smartphone.

I've thought about getting myself one when our caravan finally sells.  How much do they cost to run as a minimum?  Alistair mentions a tenner a month but what is that for exactly?  Would it run off my internet at home or would I have to have extra?

You can probably guess I am a bit of a  when it comes to technology.
