North Dorset - calling all smallholders!
« on: February 20, 2013, 08:01:15 pm »
How about we give a North Dorset smallholders group a go - no-one has the time to travel miles (i.e West Dorset!!) - so perhaps we could all meet up early Spring at one member's place and then move around each meeting?  Always good to see other people's set-ups, however big or small.

So I'm in....

That's a start!  Shall we set a date for an informal first get together?

I should think anyone is welcome if they want to travel to meet up.
Its probably just me thats the lazy one  ::) .
You are all welcome to come to mine first if you fancied.?  I haven't a massive amount to show though.
We have only been here two years, but have been concentrating on the house and rearing animals on a shoestring until we can afford to do all the work needed.
Currently we have the 9 orphan lambs in the barn and a selelction of chickens, ducks & Geese (Including the famous Boris the Gander  )
If you are keen on seeing a work in progress with a cup of tea and a slice of cake then you are all very welcome.
How would Saturday March 9th sound.?
If you are interested pm me and I will send you my exact location.  :excited:

Oh what to do!  Have promised to go to the West Country Game Fair on Sat (can't go Sunday as it is Ma's Day and Ma -in -law will not want to do 'animal stuff' on her day of the year).

Will be in touch Steph but hope to meet you all soon.

Hi all,

sorry to be a nusiance, but wondered if i could set the meeting back till the last weekend in March ,
Saturday 30th March??.

I have a huge polytunnel arriving this week and the next two weekends are going to be jam packed trying to get the beast constructed.

I also thought that if it is up and going there is a little more to show you all when you arrive.

How does that sound?.  A few could'nt make the original date so hoping this new date might suit others better as well.

Let me know.

Will post a list of members coming in a minute xx
