hello from a very rainy anglesey (north wales!)
« on: February 14, 2013, 01:48:15 pm »
Hello!
I guess we should have found this forum sooner!we have a 12 acre smallholding in anglesey. We are very unproductive! we have two pet sheep, four goats, four horses and an assortment of poultry including a peacock, some turkeys, hens and ducks. I also keep and show rabbits, have five dogs and four cats.  in addition to the livestock (pets!)  I have a veg patch.

Would love to learn more hence joining the forum as we just tend to muddle along at the moment- living the good life really  :)

hello there, your holding sounds lovely. We have been looking for something on anglesey as my in laws live near portmadogg (sp?) but theres nothing around in our price bracket at the moment!

How long have you had your small holding? It sounds like you've done pretty well muddling along :)

Hi
we have been here around four years but its been a massive renovation project- I still think the animals have better accomadation than we do!  ours belongs to one of the large estates on anglesey if that helps with your search?

muddling along is fun to be honest but apart from eggs and veg we really are unproductive! would like to get more productive as this working full time lark is not for me!

Hello and welcome widget from Carmarthenshire   Its a mix of sun and showers here today but luckily (and for the first time in ages) more sun than rain.

Hey there   we're up in the Highlands too, but my in-laws are from Holyhead so I know your part of the country quite well. You're unlucky to get so much rain, usually it bypasses the island and hits Snowdonia.
